The TeamLab got together at the Oshkosh Skate Park for an overdue reunion. Now that spring is here and all the white stuff has melted, most of us riders are back to the daily grind of working, school and most importantly, partying. Skating is something most of us still enjoy during the off season, so a cookout at the park was a perfect Sunday Funday. Here are some pics of the team holdin’ it down at the skate park.

Season Recap In Photos: Part 2
Here is the second half of Friday’s post. Enjoy these photos and look for some big changes coming in the next few weeks, next season is gonna be awesome!
Season Recap In Photos: Part 1
The season is officially over for those living in the Midwest, the snow has been gone for several weeks and with temps in the 70′s, it doesn’t seem likely that spring snow storm will lend any last chances to slide on some snow. It has been a challenging year for snow conditions in Wisconsin, but Teamlab riders managed to bag an impressive number of shots in the form of both stills and video. A few team rider have already finished and posted their edits for the year and I will be cutting a 3 minute edit of my own shortly. For now, I’d like to share a selection of images that I shot this winter, some you have probably already seen, but take the time to look through them all if you can, I don’t think you will be disappointed. I decided to break this post into 2 sections, I will post the second half on Monday.

The TeamLab Does It Proper For Outdoor Outlet
Peep the commercial that our incredibly talented photographer Joe Horvath shot for o2 Gear Shop. Everyone in the commercial either works for the shop’s brick & mortar store or rides for TheTeamLab! The commercial has been running for the last few weeks and was generated to boost end of season traffic. Enjoy!
An Inspiration On Perspective: Travis Parker
I was cruising around the web this morning and I started thinking about Travis Parker and how he used to be one of my favorite riders on the snow until he decided to retire from professional snowboarding. One of my reasons for being such a huge fan was because of his great attitude towards snowboarding, how he seamed to be a super fun character, and he had some of the most original riding I had seen at the time. I came across in interview on ESPN and found it inspiring.
The interview really shows how somebody with such a great personality can be negatively influenced by monetary fulfillment and set aside why they started snowboarding in the first place, the fun of it all. It is inspiring that somebody can actually take a step back before letting all of the money and fame get to their head completely. Read the article below and look up some videos of Travis Parker riding. You will most likely be inspired to go out and have fun!

RVCA & Stance Socks Win SIMA Awards
Yo, it’s Mikey just dropping in because I want to recognize some companies that have been motivating and supporting me this year. This past week both RVCA and Stance Socks received awards at the 2012 SIMA Image Awards. RVCA 3-peated with the award as 2011 Men’s Apparel Brand of the year! HELL YA! If you haven’t checked them out do it now at RVCA.com
Stance Socks won the 2011 Breakthrough Brand Of The Year. Not only are their socks artsy and eye catching, but they are also the best socks to rock under your snowboard or ski boot, in my opinion. To be honest, I wear Stance Socks to bed at night! MIX AND MATCH! Check out their designs at stance.com.
The awards speak for themselves, and I have much love for these two companies. I hope everyone is having a good winter! The groundhog blessed us with 6 more weeks of winter this year so you all better get some riding in while you can!!!!!! I am stoked on how this year has been going, so be sure to check out the footage of the season that I will be posting sometime this spring. GO SNOWBOARD AND BE HAPPY!
Give Him What He Really Wants!

If you’re in a pinch this valentines day why don’t you do something great for your love life? Instead of the usual teddy bear, which he’s going to stick in a box for 10 years, or an over-sized heart full of chocolates (as delicious as they are) which he’s going to eat in a day, why don’t you get him something he really wants? Stop by O2 Gear Shop, where everything in the snowboard shop over $100.00 is 20%-40% off! There’s bound to be something that will stoke his fire! Ask for Brent, Garett, Berg, Drew, or Nick if you need any suggestions!
All love.
Putting Josh Zaepfel On Blast
The thing I have loved most about Colorado, from my time spent there, is how open and loving the community is. People out there are so genuine and into some really cool shit! I was out in Denver a few weeks ago for the SIA Snow Show (I posted up about that yesterday) and I ran into my good homie Ryan, and this guy I had never met, Mr. Josh Zaepfel. After leaving the show, Ryan, Josh, and I ran out and got some grub from this spot called Snarfs Sub Shop (It’s no CheebaHut but it played). We contemplated our next move and had a little meeting of the minds, after we formulated a game plan we hopped up in the whips and headed up to Boulder to kick it at Josh’s spot for a while before I had to head up to Beaver Creek. I’m sitting there on the couch, straight chillin’, getting attacked by the cat for hours, listening to these amazing stories of Phish shows and shady parking lot art dealings, when I started noticing all the art on the walls. After letting my eyes wander for a while, they happened upon an easel in the corner with what looked to be a half finished masterpiece propped up on it. I felt like an idiot asking, but needed to know, so went for it. It turns out all of the art in Josh’s house is original work. He’s got canvases, screens, drawings, digital art, street art, etc. You name it he had it… There were one-offs, limited run’s, originals, and work from friends. All of it was amazing! After a while, I decided it would be kind of cool to write a piece on Josh and show you some of his art. I asked him if it was cool if I took a few pictures for the website and he was stoked. If you like what you see here, you can find him on Facebook or hunt him down in Boulder.
The things I see and the people I meet when I travel never ceases to amaze me! Josh, thanks for opening your home up to me and creating some of the most inspiring art I’ve ever seen.
